Can an Anthem Redesign revolutionize the core game? Indeed, the overriding consensus is, Anthem, had anything but a stable launch. Instead, the much-anticipated release was more of a turbulent, somewhat tumultuous affair for Bioware.

Adopting that rationale for a second, for those that stayed loyal, albeit, through hell and high water, there could be light at the tunnel end. Maybe.

Finally, we have what appears to be a positive spin on the spiraling Anthem saga. At last, a cause for optimism? Or so it would appear on the surface. So, before we condemn the game for all eternity, let's hear what Bioware has to say.

After all, opinions and perceptions can change over time. People move on, and old wounds heal. It's the cycle of life.

Part of Anthem's primary problem, as an ongoing trait, was that it failed to deliver on its intended road map. Unfortunately, pulling the plug on whatever future promises it had made to its fanbase. Inevitably, that course of action has long-lasting repercussions.

But before we commit Anthem to the coffin, let's remember that both Dead Mans Sky and Star Wars Battlefront got a shot at redemption, after misfiring the first time. So, in theory, why can't Anthem? I'm in an optimistic mood, alright?

That brings us onto today's topic. The Anthem redesign. Without any further or do get ready for a revelation, folks. Prepare for mind officially blown.

In a somewhat surprising announcement, Bioware General Manager, Casey Hudson, took to the game's official blog to post an update for players, concerning Anthem.

Having had time to look over the post in greater detail, several things stand out. One passage in particular, though, caught my eye.

Mainly, when discussing upcoming plans for the game, Casey states the team is focusing on the following:

"A longer-term redesign of the experience, specifically working to reinvent the core gameplay loop with clear goals, motivating challenges and progression with meaningful rewards – while preserving the fun of flying and fighting in a vast science-fantasy setting."

If we take these words as gospel, Bioware is looking set to reshape the game from the ground up. On that note, could we see them pull off a miraculous turnaround? Just maybe. One thing's for sure. All eyes will stay firmly fixed on the Anthem Redesign when it releases in the upcoming months.

Alternatively, you can catch the full story on Bioware's blog. In short, it's worth the read if you get the chance.

By all accounts, it has been a rocky road up to this point. On reflection, that's probably a vast understatement. However, if this latest announcement is anything to go by, Anthems far from dead and buried. Additionally, for the Anthem loyalists among us, certified confirmation of an update will come as welcome news.

For those that lost faith and abandoned Anthem long ago, it could already be a classic case of too little, too late.

Honestly, I'm excited to see what lies in the pipeline. But like any wounded animal, I remain cautiously optimistic.

Of course, only time will tell. Drop by for more updates on the Anthem Redesign in the coming weeks and months.
