Mission Overview: Nowhere to Run
Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold war is developed by Raven Software which takes us back to the 1980s at the peak of Cold War. The single-player experience of the game highlights the on-going Cold War situation on which CIA representatives are posted.
This game is a direct sequel to the previous “Call of Duty: Black Ops” where all of this begins and there is nowhere left to go. The gameplay revolves around the key player, Alex Mason, along with his two partners, Frank Woods and Russell Adler.
The high-value target (HVT) of the game, murders two of his men cold-bloodedly in night time against which CIA representatives are taking action. After this act of cruelty, the target tries to flee the scene on an aircraft.
The gameplay revealed at Sony’s event showed that Mason tries to snipe Arash, the main target, but the bullet passes through one his own men. This in result blows CIA’s cover and Arash tries to move from the scene. As he gets into the aircraft, it starts to pull and the CIA teams to secure a pickup truck for chasing the target.
From the back of the truck, gunshots are fired on the approaching enemy vehicles and finally, an RC car, all trapped with explosives, is released towards the plane. After much of a fight with the enemies on the runway, the plane is finally stopped through the explosive RC car.
As the plane blows, it leaves the team with merely milliseconds to get away from the scene to save their lives from getting crushed by the plane on the runway.
From one of the official representatives of the Game, the following statement was released: "The following is a portion of 'Nowhere Left to Run' the first campaign mission in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, where players will use the cover of darkness and plausible deniability to fight a battle that 'never happened'."
