In addition, the Xbox Series S gaming console also includes a custom SSD storage of 512 gigabytes which is powered by Velocity Architecture. The console is capable of 40 times more input to output bandwidth as compared to Xbox One. This will reduce the loading time of games and provide steady frame rates.
Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S
In the official announcement, Microsoft has claimed that Xbox Series S will deliver the same performance as the new Xbox Series X console. The CPU of the new Xbox Series S gaming console is similar to that of Series X and it also has a similar Input/output performance. However, the difference in price between the two is due to rendering performance and the Series S console renders at a lower resolution.
Talking about the audio quality, both consoles will provide an identical experience. Both consoles are going to provide you with Spatial Sound that includes Dolby Atmos. Dolby Vision support will be provided in both consoles via the online streaming of new and exciting media apps.
The primary difference between the two consoles is the resolution. The Series X console is built to render high-quality games on much larger screens whereas, the Series S gaming console will run on smaller screens perfectly. Most gamers out there prefer frame rates to resolution. Xbox Series S is going to use the same CPU as Xbox Series X with its 4 teraflops of GPU. However, it is going to run on 1080p televisions with 1440p on gaming monitors rather than on huge 4 K screens. For gaming enthusiasts who want a premium experience on a tight budget, Xbox Series S is an ideal solution.
